Therapeutic Indication:

Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate:Tenobiovir is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection or chronic hepatitis B virus infection in patients who are also infected with HIV.

Dosage and Administration:

The dose of Tenobiovir (Tenobiovir disoproxil fumarate) is 300 mg once daily taken orally with a meal.

Side Effects:

• The most commonly reported adverse effects associated with Tenofovir are asthenia, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, fat redistribution (less common), bone mineral density loss.
• Serious adverse reactions that needed to evaluation are hepatitis B virus infection exacerbation,lactic acidosis/severe hepatomegaly with steatosis, renal impairment, renal failure.
