Therapeutic Indication:

Prasugrel: Reduces rate of thrombotic cardiovascular events (eg, stent thrombosis) in patients with unstable angina

Dosage and Administration:

Biosugrel should be initiated with a single 60 mg loading dose and then continued at 10 mg once a day.Patients taking Biosugrel should also take ASA daily (75 mg to 325 mg).

Side Effects:

• Cardiovascular: Hypertension, hypotension, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, noncardiac chest pain, peripheral edema
• Central nervous system: Headache, dizziness, fatigue
• Dermatologic: Rash
• Endocrine & metabolic: Hypercholesterolemia/hyperlipidemia 
• Gastrointestinal: Nausea, diarrhea
• Neuromuscular & skeletal: Back pain
• Respiratory: Epistaxis, dyspnea, cough
