Biolenol Cold
Generic Name:
Day time tablet: Acetaminophen, Phenylephrine hydrochloride, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
Night time tablet: Acetaminophen, Phenylephrine hydrochloride, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, Chlorpheniramine maleate.
Pharmacotherapeutic Group:
Analgesic, Antipyretic
Therapeutic Indication:
For temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with headache, muscular aches, backache, minor arthritis pain, common cold, toothache, menstrual cramps and for the reduction of fever.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults: 325 to 650 mg every 4 to 6 hours or 1 g 3 to 4 times a day. Children: A 10 – 15 mg /kg/dose schedule is recommended. May repeat doses every 4 hours; do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours.
Side Effects:
Hematological: hemolytic anemia, neutropenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia.
Hypersensitivity: Skin eruptions; urticarial and erythematous skin reaction, fever.
Renal: renal colic, renal failure.
Hepatic: hepatitis.
Miscellaneous: Hypoglycemia, jaundice.
